Mini – Sojourn
Each spread in this book was created as a community arts project for a summer internship with Sojourn Arts in Losuisville, KY. As I lived, worked, and served alongside community members at Sojourn Midtown, I came to treasure many stories and memories along the way. This cardboard mini book was created from a collection of church bulletins, in a sermon series on the fruits of the spirit. The cover was created out of found pieces of “trash” that I picked up on my daily commute to work. During this time, I was greatly inspired by the work of Rudolph Bostic, and Meena Khalili.
